Special Sessions

In addition to our work with ongoing clients, we have seen a need for some families to have a single session or a set of three intensives to assist them. These can be conducted in our clinic or via a web or phone appointment with a BCBM therapist.

Single Session

Single Session Intensive: $500 includes therapist time to review data, session and follow up summary email.

This is a 90 minute, single session, in the clinic or via a web or phone appointment with a therapist from BCBM.

The purpose of this session is to problem solve and set a direction for families and systems unable to access regular therapy with BCBM, and that require guidance and input with clear and explicit recommendations.

Three areas of concern can be addressed during the session and priorities will be determined before a face to face session. We will follow a clearly defined agenda and process. You will be provided with this process before the session so you are aware of what to expect and so you can be well prepared.

These sessions can be used to problem-solve behaviours at home, school or in the community; they can be used to inform NDIS plans and processes and finding a way forward when a family or system is ‘stuck’. They can help find a pathway forward if you suspect your child may have an issue and you are not sure where to turn or what to do.

Before the session, you will be required to enter into a service agreement and provide a range of documents relevant to your situation. These will be reviewed before the appointment and will provide the basis on which recommendations are made.

Following the session, you will receive a process summary, and an outline of the recommendations and strategies suggested. Therapists will break down the recommendations provided by other professionals into cohesive, manageable chunks.

Pre-session requirements may include:

  • Completed intake form

  • Developmental history

Copies of any assessments:

Copies of any assessments you have available will help inform interventions - Psychologist, Occupational therapist, Speech therapist, Physiotherapist, School or care setting report, Paediatrician, Psychiatrist, Dietitian, Specialists - geneticist, cardiologist, surgeon, GP, upload of any videos of behaviour you want us to view to assess or comment on.

Don’t worry if you have no reports, we will advise you moving forward.

Note: This session can be billed to NDIS capacity building daily living- training, brokered by a support service or user paid.
