Position Description

As a support worker / therapy assistant you will work along side our qualified therapists to help participants achieve their individual goals. You will provide community access and personal care supports. Many of our clients are school age children and require supports before and after school, weekends, and school holidays.

Successful applicants will be flexible in their working hours, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the personal attributes and qualities of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and empathy to provide exceptional support and care to our clients.

Requirements of the role or willing to obtain:

  • National Police Check

  • Full Australian Driver’s License

  • First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • Working with Children Clearance

  • NDIS Workers Screening Certificate

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

  • NDIS Communication Module

  • Infection Control Training

  • Fully vaccinated against Covid

  • Commitment to undertake in-house training and professional development as required

  • Reliability and flexibility to work a variety of shift times

  • Prior experience in support worker roles is preferred, but those with less experience are also encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria


  • Previous reception or front of office experience

  • Experienced and confident in answering phone

  • Ability to book appointments and fill out forms while on the phone

  • Demonstrated intermediate skills and ability in the entire Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Ability to adapt and adhere to company processes and procedures

  • Work as part of a team and independently

  • Friendly, calm, confident, and professional manner

  • Neat and tidy appearance


Highly Desired:

  • Experience in the health care sector

  • Experience using Power Diary

  • Experience using Trello

  • Previous experience in policies, procedures and OHS
