About us

Bobbi Cook Behaviour Management (BCBM) is a private behaviour therapy and counselling practice located in Ballarat. We are registered providers for NDIS, FRMP, Carer Gateway and EACH, we also provide brokerage to other services and self-funded clients. ​

About the Roles

We have several casual, part-time, and full-time positions available.

As part of a small team the role is responsible for the provision of effective, high quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling, skill development and therapy, including education programs, to individuals, couples, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works across all client types (individual, parents/carers, families – may include direct work with children and groups) including complex intakes/assessments.

  • Provide counselling –managing increasingly complex cases.

  • Participate in related clinical activities.

  • Participate in regular case consultation/supervision.

  • Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety in line with the organisation’s WH+S Policy and procedures.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling or equivalent.

  • Eligibility for membership of relevant professional body (e.g., APA).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience providing individual, couple and/or family therapy.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, couples, and families with complex issues.

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.

  • Understanding of NDIS environment and proven ability to work with families and participants with disabilities and complex needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as to be able to contribute and participate in a small team.
