About the event

Complex Needs Workshop

Online via Zoom - link will be provided upon booking and payment

Ticket price: $125.80 per person

Complex needs means the person has more than one area of difficulty, and those difficulties interact with each other. A person may have autism, intellectual disability, language disorder, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, sensory processing differences, sleep difficulties, continence needs, eating challenges, medical needs, motor difficulties, emotional regulation challenges or behaviours of concern.

Complex needs are often misunderstood because people see the behaviour but do not see the underlying disability-related reasons for the behaviour.

This workshop will help parents and carers understand what is happening underneath the surface and how to explain those needs clearly to schools, therapists, support workers, coordinators, medical professionals and the NDIS.
